Opportuinties
The Susanville Elks Lodge is excited to focus new opportunities on bringing the community back to the lodge. Historically, the Elks Lodge has focused on fundraising to support operating costs by renting out the lodge for events. While this is still encouraged, the Elks Lodge primary focus has shifted to holding Elks events at the Elks Lodge. These events would include monthly Taco Nights, a seasonal community dance, movie nights on the lawn during the summer, and other events designed to bring the community of Susanville back to their Elks Lodge.
Partnerships:
The Susanville Elks Lodge is eager to partner with other community organizations and stakeholders to improve the financial position of the local lodge while restoring the Elks Lodge building. The members of the Susanville Elks Lodge are proud to support the community of Susanville and the surrounding area and are eager to work with community leaders to identify potential partners, sponsors and collaborators to restore the "Gem of Susanville"
Technology
Integration:
In the last year, the Susanville Elks Lodge has transitioned from a primarily cash-only operation for events to installing an electronic point of sale system that accepts debit and all major credit cards. In addition, the Elks Lodge has initiated advertisements on social media, including Facebook and Instagram. Considerations are also being made to expand advertising, enhance member communication, and improve efficiency with the development of a website solely for the Susanville Elks Lodge.
