The Elks Lodge, a fraternal organization with a long history in the United States, has been actively marketing and promoting itself to attract new members and maintain its relevance in modern times. The organization has leveraged various strategies to raise awareness and showcase the benefits of joining the Elks Lodge.

Brand Identity

The Elks Foundation and, by extension, the Susanville Elks Lodge are distinctly American. For one hundred years, the majestic building at the top of town has stood to support the community of Susanville. Its iconic architecture draws attention to those who drive past and leaves an impact on travelers when they are gone.

Promotional Strategies:

Strategies that have been adopted and implemented by the Susanville Elks Lodge include radio advertisement, advertisement via local digital sources. The Susanville Elks Lodge has created a Facebook page @susanvilleelkslodge#1487 and an Instagram account @susanville_elks_lodge1487.

Member Engagement

Members of the Susanville Elks Lodge have traditionally been informed through a monthly bulletin that is circulated either online or via the postal service. A contract has been made with Forest Office Supply to reorganize a method to distribute a monthly bulletin to keep members informed. Other methods of engaging members and recruiting new members are through community engagement. Some activities include bi-monthly meetings at the Elks Lodge and hosting community events. Such events include football night, taco night, the spring festival, and other events scheduled throughout the year.
